PS questions the exclusion of the Algarve from the six strategic business areas

Barlavento1 September 2026 at 09:29

The Socialist Party questioned the exclusion of the Algarve from the six strategic business areas planned by the Government. The distribution announced by the executive includes two areas in the North region, two in the Center region, one in the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon and another in the interior of the Alentejo.

The PS deputies demanded that the Government explain the criteria used for the geographical distribution of these six strategic business areas. The socialist formation wants to understand what logic was followed to select these specific locations.

The content of this news from Barlavento comes following the announcement by the Executive about the creation of these special economic zones or strategic development business areas in mainland Portugal.

Jair Renan Asks for Votes for Esperidião Amin and Carlos Bolsonaro, but Leaves Michelle's Ally in SC Out of the Campaign Flyer

The campaign material attributed to Jair Renan Bolsonaro (PL-SC) asks for votes for Carlos Bolsonaro and Esperidião Amin for Senate, but excludes federal deputy Caroline de Toni, Michelle Bolsonaro's ally on the same ticket. The flyer also supports Jair Renan for federal deputy, Flavinho for president, Jorginho Mello for governor, and Camilo Martins for state deputy. Toni's exclusion occurs amid tensions in the Bolsonaro coalition in Santa Catarina, as Amin was passed over by Jorginho earlier this year to accommodate the ex-president's son.
