New national TVDE law comes into force and begins to integrate taxis services

Eight years after the beginning of the regulation of the activity, a new law comes into force that changes the previous TVDE regime and redefines the acronym itself. The designation no longer means individual and remunerated transport of passengers in uncharacterized vehicles from an electronic platform and now corresponds to remunerated transport of passengers in electronically available vehicles. Among the main changes is the integration of taxis, which can now be registered for the TVDE activity. This change represents a significant reformulation of the sector in Portugal.
