The Monchique Reading Club celebrated its eighth anniversary with a session dedicated to the book "Farol", by Clara Andrade, who was present at the meeting. The initiative allowed participants to talk directly with the author about the work.
During the session, club members expressed interest in the São Vicente route and path, a journey that is integrated into the book's narrative. This connection to the Algarve region made the discussion particularly relevant for local readers.
The book "Farol" follows the character Júlia and two friends on a journey between Mértola and Cape São Vicente, in a story centered on human relationships and the life paths of the characters. The narrative also includes a passage through Caldas de Monchique.
For the next session, the club has already chosen the book "Jesus Cristo bebia cerveja", by Afonso Cruz.
