SC Braga made official the loan of Leonardo Lelo to Almería, a club from the Spanish league. The young left-back thus leaves the Arsenal to play in Spain during the next season.
The Spanish club holds a purchase option set at 3 million euros. If Almería decides to exercise this option, Braga will lose the definitive registration of the player.
Lelo arrived at Braga in 2020 from Benfica and had a contract with the Minho club until 2026. During his time at the Arsenal, the player failed to establish himself as a regular starter in the first team.
This transfer comes at a time when Braga continues to manage their squad for the new season, sending less-used players to gain experience in other leagues.
