Two people died and four were injured in a head-on collision between a light vehicle and a truck, which occurred on the IC8, in Santiago da Guarda, in the municipality of Ansião. The accident also resulted in two victims in serious condition, one of whom had to be transported by helicopter to Coimbra.
A third vehicle, a cargo van, was also involved in the accident, causing minor injuries to a couple. The IC8 is closed to traffic as a result of the accident.
