The floods that hit Nepal and China have already caused over a thousand dead, according to an updated count. The severity of the flooding affects both nations simultaneously, causing widespread destruction and leaving a high number of fatalities.
Local authorities have been carrying out rescue operations to try to save people affected by the floods. So far, at least 11,814 people have been rescued, which demonstrates the massive scale of the emergency efforts underway in the most affected regions.
