A woman randomly attacked two people with a knife in Times Square, New York. The attack resulted in the death of one of the victims. The woman had a history of mental health issues and pulled the two knives from a bag during the incident.

After the attack, the woman refused to drop the two knives when police arrived on scene. Officers attempted to control the situation, but given the attacker's refusal, they ended up shooting and killing her.

The attacker was killed by police on scene. Authorities are still investigating the full circumstances of the incident in Times Square, one of New York's busiest tourist destinations.
