After the coaching change at Fluminense, with Luis Zubeldía's departure and Marcão's arrival, the team's performance improved significantly. Beyond the collective evolution, individual players also showed improvement, such as forward Hulk. With the new coach, he scored the net three times in four games, compared to just one goal in seven matches under the previous coach.
In the 3-3 draw with Athletico-PR on Sunday, in the Brazilian Championship, Hulk scored his first free kick goal for the tricolor. Set pieces are a highlight in the forward's repertoire: out of the four times he found the net for Flu, two came from this method. Besides the free kick against Furacão, he also scored a penalty against Grêmio.
In the same match against Athletico-PR, Hulk also took an accurate free kick that resulted in Ignácio's goal, which turned the game to 3-2 momentarily. However, the team ended up conceding the equalizer in stoppage time.
Marcão himself commented on the forward's improvement, saying Hulk was in an adaptation period and has been responding very well in training. According to the coach, the player has been improving, participating more in plays, and getting to know the group better, demonstrating that he is increasingly integrated into the team.
