Ex-member of the South Side Compton Crips gang, Duane Davis was found guilty of murdering rapper Tupac Shakur, which occurred almost 30 years ago. The trial ended with the guilty verdict, marking the end of decades of speculation about the case.
Davis will face life imprisonment for the death of the artist. The crime was committed as retaliation for the assault suffered by his nephew, Orlando Anderson, involving Tupac Shakur.
The case remained unsolved for decades, with multiple theories and suspects over the years. Davis's conviction represents the first successful trial related to the homicide of the 1996 rapper.
