The Chafariz d'el-Rei Basic School in Évora closed in November after plaster fell in its facilities. The incident led to the suspension of classes at the school, leaving students without adequate space to continue their studies.
The municipal council of Évora found a temporary solution to accommodate the students. Sixteen modular units have been installed in a car park adjacent to the school, where students will attend classes while the situation is not resolved.
However, there is still no defined date for the start of the building's repair works. The municipal council is responsible for managing this situation and for implementing the temporary solution in the spaces adjacent to the closed school.
