SMF Youth Talks debates "War, Human Rights and Inequalities" and "The Limits of Humor"

NotíciasdeAveiro.pt1 September 2026 at 00:04

SMF Youth Talks returns to Santa Maria da Feira on September 5th and 12th, promoting two thematic debates: "War, Human Rights and Inequalities" and "The Limits of Humor". The encounters are aimed at young people between 16 and 30 years old and take place in secret and unlikely locations throughout the Feirense territory, with participants receiving the coordinates only the day before the event.

These informal reflection conversations continue to establish themselves as relevant spaces for debate, inspiration and active youth participation, bringing them closer to current topics of great relevance. The encounters aim to promote moments of learning, sharing, awareness and personal growth.

The themes selected for this edition cross issues that are transversal to different generations, allowing diversified and dynamic sharing spaces, with strong potential for youth engagement both in these events and in other contexts.

Elon Musk opposes allowing Ukraine to use Starlink for attacks inside Russia

Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, continues to oppose allowing Ukraine to use Starlink for attacks inside Russia, contradicting recent news that suggested otherwise. Sources close to the businessman say Musk does not believe authorizing such use helps end the war, preferring a peace agreement rather than an escalation. SpaceX allows the use of Starlink in Ukrainian territory, including occupied areas like Crimea, but restricts it in Russia. Ukraine has been pressing to expand the use of Starlink in long-range drones, with President Zelensky even requesting Donald Trump's intervention with Musk, without success. Although Musk received Ukraine's Order of Freedom for his support to Ukrainian communications, he maintains his position against escalating the conflict.
