Benfica defeated Estoril 2-1 at the Estádio da Luz, in a match from the 4th round of the Portuguese League. The reds took control of the game early on and created several chances, with a notable strike from Sudakov that deflected off an opponent and hit the crossbar. The visitors relied on a strategy of closing down spaces and making it difficult for the home team's ball circulation.
The first goal came at the 40th minute. Sudakov found Prestianni, the ball reached Dahl, and after the Danish player's missed shot, Pavlidis was in the right place to take advantage of the rebound and beat Joel Robles, putting Benfica ahead at halftime.
In the second half, Lenglet increased the margin with a long-range strike, before Begraoui reduced the deficit for Estoril. Enzo Barrenechea left injured still in the first half, which allowed João Palhinha's debut for Benfica. With this victory, the reds collected three more points in the standings.
