Alcolumbre accelerates process and should schedule Pacheco's indication to TCU on Wednesday to take advantage of voting week

The president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), should schedule on Wednesday the indication of former House President Rodrigo Pacheco (PSB-MG) for the vacancy at the Court of Accounts (TCU). The intention is to take advantage of the concentrated effort this week to accelerate the choice and advance the articulation built over months by the House leadership.

The movement gained speed after Bruno Dantas filed his resignation request on Monday. In a letter sent to TCU President Vital do Rêgo, the minister communicated, in an irrevocable manner, the decision and requested that the vacancy declaration and the exoneration act take effect from September 9.

In the document, Dantas stated that the decision is personal and voluntary, matured over the past months. He also asked the court to make formal communications to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Alcolumbre.

The vacancy occupied by Dantas is of Senate initiative, the House that originally indicated him.
