Chega convened a meeting with the party's national bodies for today and Tuesday, with the aim of deciding on the presentation of a motion of censure to the government.
The party leader, André Ventura, had previously announced he would proceed with the motion of censure if the prime minister did not resolve the situation of the minister of Internal Administration.
The decision to convene the national bodies comes at a time of political tension related to the Internal Administration portfolio, which prompted the ultimatum from Chega.
If the motion of censure is approved by the party, she'll be submitted for a vote in the Assembly of the Republic, which could represent a challenge to the executive led by the prime minister.
