The third edition of Global Ocean took place on Saturday, August 29, in Sagres, and broke a participation record. A total of 200 people attended the event, distributed across two open water swimming events, with distances of 800 and 2,000 meters.
This year's event counted towards the Algarve open water circuit, which gave greater sporting relevance to the competition held on the Algarve coast.
Global Ocean is an event that, beyond the sporting aspect, promotes awareness for ocean protection, bringing together swimmers with this common goal.
The previous participation record was broken in this edition, consolidating the event as a reference in the regional open water swimming calendar.
