EIB channels 250 million for Brazilian women entrepreneurs in the Amazon

The European Investment Bank (EIB) will channel 250 million euros to women entrepreneurs in the Brazilian Amazon. The financing is part of a strategic partnership with the Bank of Brazil to support women's entrepreneurship in the region.

With this collaboration, the two institutions intend to unlock a total of 500 million euros in microcredits. The goal is to reach approximately 50,000 managers or owners of micro-enterprises in the Amazon region of Brazil.

This initiative emerges in the context of European support for sustainable development and gender equality in Latin America, focusing specifically on women who lead small businesses in the Amazon.

Ludgero Marques: Seguro remembers a prominent figure of business associations

President of the Republic António José Seguro expressed deep sorrow over the death of Ludgero Marques, at age 88, describing him as one of the most prominent figures in Portuguese business associations. He received several honorary distinctions, including the rank of Grand-Officer of the Order of Prince Henry. The funeral will be held at the Matrix Church of Rio Meão, followed by the crematorium in Aveiro.
