A large tree, a centennial pine tree, fell in the Setúbal area, causing significant material damage. The incident resulted in nine cars affected by the falling tree.
At the scene of the accident, a total of 46 operatives were present to ensure the tree removal and road cleaning operations. The operatives had the support of four vehicles, including a turntable ladder, to carry out the intervention work.
Local authorities will need to investigate the causes that led to the fall of the centennial pine tree, which may be related to weather conditions or the tree's state of preservation.
