The Chega party has convened meetings of its internal bodies for today and Tuesday to reach a "final decision" on presenting a motion of censure against the Government.
The party leader, André Ventura, revealed that he has already requested a meeting with the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, describing it as "a conversation."
The meetings of the party's bodies aim to debate the strategy to follow regarding the motion of censure, at a time of political tension in the country.
Chega's decision comes in the context of a period of governmental instability, with the party assessing whether it should proceed with the motion of censure as an instrument of political pressure.
