The alert situation for water supply in Almada ends this Monday, August 31. The measure had been implemented due to failures in the water supply in the municipality and comes to an end after municipal reservoir levels stabilized above 70%.
The alert situation had been in effect since July 8. Due to the persistence of the problems, the measure was subsequently extended until the end of August, when conditions for its revocation were finally verified.
With the termination of this alert situation, the water supply in Almada is considered to have returned to normal, after a period of about two months during which restrictions and extraordinary measures were in force to address water scarcity in the region.
