The Municipal Chamber of Odemira will hold on September 8, at the Church of Mercy, a solemn session to commemorate Municipal Day, during which municipal merit medals will be awarded to António Louçã and Deodato Inácio dos Santos. António Louçã, from São Teotónio, is distinguished for his contribution to the economic and agricultural development of the municipality, after 40 years at the head of the São Teotónio Agricultural Credit Bank. Deodato Inácio dos Santos, teacher, sculptor, writer and cultural animator, receives the distinction for his work in the areas of culture, education and sports, in recognition of the impact of his career on the community.
