The District Command of the PSP in Vila Real arrested seven individuals between August 24 and 31, as part of its operational activity to combat criminality. The operation aimed to guarantee public safety, order, and tranquility within the jurisdiction of the command.
Of the seven arrests made, two were for execution of arrest warrants, three for driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and two for possession of prohibited weapons. These arrests are part of the PSP's effort to combat different types of criminality in the region.
Regarding road accidents, 30 traffic accidents were recorded during this period, resulting in six minor injuries. These numbers highlight the authorities' concern for road safety in the district.
The PSP issued an appeal to all drivers to drive safely, adapting their driving to weather conditions and road surface conditions. The police also recommends that behaviors that reduce driving capabilities not be adopted, such as speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol, or using mobile phones while driving.
