The chuvisco, a traditional sweet from Campos dos Goytacazes in Rio de Janeiro, remains a trademark of the city even after passing fads such as the "strawberry fever of love" and mixtures with ninho and nutella have lost momentum. Considered intangible and cultural heritage of the city since 2011, the sweet also won the Award for Gastronomic Wonders of the State of Rio de Janeiro in 2014, in the category "Sweets and Jams". Despite its strong connection to Campos, the delicacy has Portuguese origins.
