Russia quintupled the use of jet drones against Ukraine. In just the last four days, 800 were launched

CNN Portugal31 August 2026 at 18:03

Russia quintupled the use of jet drones against Ukraine, having launched 800 of these unmanned aerial vehicles in just the last four days.

These jet drones can reach speeds between 350 and 500 kilometers per hour, which represents a significant offensive capability.

Another identified challenge is the altitude at which these drones fly, reaching up to 5000 meters, which puts them out of range of portable air defense systems.
