State debts in arrears reach 706 million

Observador31 August 2026 at 18:06

State arrears reached 706 million euros, representing a significant increase compared to the previous period. This value reflects the accumulated payments that the State failed to meet within the established deadlines.

The health sector was identified as the main driver of this increase, recording an addition of 168 million euros in arrears. This growth in the health sector contributes substantially to the overall increase in State debt.

Regional and Local Administration played a partial role in containing this growth. Although it failed to completely halt the increase, it managed to partially mitigate the effects of the growth in arrears.

The article does not specify the exact time period to which this debt refers nor does it present future projections on the evolution of this financial situation of the State.
