The board of ILGA Portugal resigned. The president of the organization explained today that the resignation occurred because the board was reduced to half its members.
The leader of ILGA Portugal stated that the current political context requires a more robust team to defend the rights of LGBTI people. According to the president, a group with greater strength and energy is needed to face the existing challenges.
The organization did not specify how many members originally made up the board nor how many remained at the time of the resignation. ILGA Portugal is an association that works for the defense of the rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, trans and intersex people.
