JPP continues "productive and highly interesting visit" to Jersey

Funchal Notícias31 August 2026 at 17:22

The JPP (Juntos Pelo Povo) delegation is carrying out a visit to the island of Jersey, which it classifies as a "productive and highly interesting" trip. This is the party's first visit to the island.

Élvio Sousa, Secretary-General of the JPP, stated that the visit is proving to be "very productive and of great interest for the political and economic dimension that the JPP aspires to for Madeira's future".

The contacts established with local institutions and Jersey's business community allowed the delegation to observe concrete solutions in a reality similar to that of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

The Madeiran party intends to apply the experiences observed in Jersey to develop political and economic initiatives in the Autonomous Region.
