The Portuguese canoeists returned to Lisbon after completing their participation in the World Canoeing Championship with four medals, representing the best ever performance of the national delegation at this competition.
Portugal thus managed to break its own record of medals at an edition of the Canoeing World Championships, consolidating the progress that the Portuguese national team has been making in this sport in recent years.
The medal-winning athletes, upon arriving in the Portuguese capital, demonstrated enormous satisfaction with the results achieved, acknowledging the work carried out during the preparation for the world competition.
The canoeists also expressed ambition to continue improving their results in future international competitions, aiming to achieve even more significant results in the upcoming sports seasons.
