The Cabeço Shooting Range, in Valpaços, hosted last weekend the traditional "Fosso Universal" Clay Pigeon Shooting Competition, part of the program of the Festivities of Our Lady of Health 2026. The competition was organized by the Valpaços Hunting, Shooting and Fishing Club and brought together practitioners and enthusiasts of the sport.
The event provided a moment marked by competitive spirit, but also by fellowship and fraternization among participants. The competition once again established itself as one of the sporting highlights of the festivities, helping to diversify the programming and strengthen the connection between sport, local traditions, and community life.
More than a competition, the initiative allowed to keep alive a tradition already integrated into the program of the Festivities of Our Lady of Health, bringing together participants and public in an environment of gathering and celebration. With this event, Valpaços once again associated its festive programming with the promotion of sporting activity and the valorization of initiatives that help to dynamize the municipality and preserve traditions linked to its identity.
