Lígia Mourão, director and founder of the "Jornal Comunidades Lusófonas", is preparing the launch of a new editorial project: "IMERSIVA", a monthly magazine integrated into the periodical and based in Porto, Portugal. Born in 1972 in Chaves, Lígia Mourão holds a degree in European Studies and completed a master's degree in Political Science and International Relations at the Nova University of Lisbon. At the helm of the publication since March 2023, the idea to create "IMERSIVA" arose from the need to expand the range of readers, partners, and friends of the Jornal Comunidades Lusófonas.
The first edition of "IMERSIVA" will be published online on September 1, with the central theme "Filigree – Portuguese Pride". Businesspeople in the Portuguese filigree sector were interviewed about the importance of this ancestral art and its international prominence. A.Certifica, which guarantees the authentication of the art of handling the fine threads of golden and silver filigree, is also featured prominently in this edition.
The magazine, with 25 pages that vary according to the themes, presents a differentiated design described as an intentional "kind of draft", with the goal of catching the reader's attention. It aims to address current topics such as economy, diplomacy, entrepreneurship, and culture, covering life stories of companies, entities, institutes, and organizations, always with narrative rigor.
Among the publication's objectives are to boost the purposes of public and private entities, establish connections with the Lusophone world, and give greater scope to new national or foreign companies. Lígia Mourão hopes that readers who follow the Jornal Comunidades Lusófonas can embark on more stories that "IMERSIVA" will tell.
