Grape inspection reinforced at Vintage 2026

The Viticulture Commission of the Vinho Verde Region (CVRVV), the Port and Douro Wines Institute (IVDP, IP), and the Authority for Economic and Food Safety (ASAE) reinforced their coordination for the 2026 Harvest inspection.

The three entities met at the Casa dos Vinhos Verdes in Porto, where they coordinated control plans for the Vinho Verde, Douro, and Porto regions.

The main objective of this coordination is to ensure traceability of grapes and their respective flows, as well as compliance with applicable legislation on the protection of Denominations of Origin and Geographical Indications.

Mechanisms were also defined to reinforce team efficiency, streamline contact channels and shared procedures, and ensure close and rigorous monitoring throughout the wine campaign.
