The Parish of Alter do Chão saw its project selected for funding under the Program for Urban Collective Use Equipment, which contemplates the construction of an open-air auditorium in the municipality. The estimated total investment is 99,845.87 euros, with an eligible expenditure of 94,017.22 euros.
The application submitted by the Parish of Alter do Chão obtained a public subsidy of 47,008.61 euros, representing approximately half of the eligible investment. This is the only project from the Alentejo included in the decision published in the Official Gazette, standing out among the applications approved for the district of Portalegre.
The Program for Urban Collective Use Equipment has a total allocation of 758,098.31 euros for financing new projects nationwide. However, the actual disbursement of funding is not unconditional, as the signing of the contract depends on the availability of funds at the time of formalization.
If the contract is finalized, the Parish of Alter do Chão will have access to more than 47,000 euros in public support to create a new collective use facility intended for holding outdoor events in the region.
