The Romaria de Nossa Senhora d'Agonia will return to Viana do Castelo from August 15 to 22, 2027, the organization announced. The event takes place annually and attracts thousands of people to the city, combining music, parades, processions, pyrotechnic shows and other activities.

One of the most anticipated and emblematic moments of the Romaria is the Mordomia Parade. This year, the event brought together a thousand women who walked through the streets of Viana do Castelo displaying the traditional costume and gleaming gold on their chests.

Considered one of the largest cultural and religious manifestations in the country, the pilgrimage maintains a tradition that continues to mobilize thousands of people and affirm the cultural identity of the city of Viana do Castelo.
