More than a hundred Portuguese companies are participating in this year's edition of the Maputo International Fair. The event, known by the acronym FACIM, is taking place in Maputo and constitutes one of the main commercial events in the region. Portuguese companies have a significant presence at this international fair, demonstrating Portugal's interest in the Mozambican market. The Portuguese participation in this edition reinforces the commercial ties between the two Lusophone countries.

The Bank of My School involves eight thousand students from 78 schools

Around eight thousand students from 7th to 12th grade participated in the third edition of the "At My School's Bench" program, a financial literacy initiative by the Portuguese Banking Association (APB) carried out throughout the 2025/2026 school year. The 317 sessions reached 78 schools across the country, including autonomous regions, and were led by 68 volunteers from member banks. The program focused on three areas: family budget management, banking products and services, and online security. The head of the Financial Literacy area at APB, Rita Machado, highlighted that young people are increasingly exposed to financial decisions and digital risks, so the program aims to provide them with tools for more informed and safer choices. The project follows the guidelines of the Financial Education Framework of the National Financial Education Plan.

Nurses from the 39 ULS and two IPOs reveal doubts about salary repositioning

The Portuguese Nursing Union Association (ASPE) carried out a national consultation on the application of Law No. 51/2025, of April 7, which revealed significant inequalities in implementation among the 39 Local Health Units (ULS) and the two Portuguese Oncology Institutes. The survey, with 545 responses and 185 open comments, shows that many institutions have not yet identified the nurses covered, there are delays in execution, lack of response from Human Resources services and Boards of Directors, and persistent doubts about salary repositioning and payment of retroactive amounts. Many professionals do not know if they are entitled to salary correction, what their new salary level is, or when they will receive the outstanding amounts. ASPE demands that the Central Administration of the Health System issue clear guidelines to ensure equality in the application of the law and that each nurse receives individualized explanations about the calculations and amounts due.
