Portimão expands online municipal services

Jornal do Algarve31 August 2026 at 14:35

Portimão City Council will make three new services available from September through the digital counter "+Fácil", allowing citizens to submit online requests for geographic information and two types of certificates without needing to go in person. The new services include the request for Supply of Geographic Information, the request for Certificate on Property Areas and the request for Certificate of Waiver of Pre-emption Rights, under the Cultural Heritage Protection and Enhancement Regime.

The measure is part of the administrative modernization and dematerialization of procedures that Portimão Municipality has been developing. The "+Fácil" counter is available 24 hours a day and allows users to submit applications from any location, attach documentation in digital format with the same legal validity as paper documents and track the status of processes.

To use the platform, prior registration is required, with authentication possible through the Citizen Card, Digital Mobile Key or user-defined credentials. In cases where requests involve payment of fees or charges, different electronic payment methods are available, such as Multibanco reference, MB WAY or debit or credit card.

With the expansion of available services, the municipality aims to reduce trips and waiting times, strengthening the digitization of procedures and facilitating the relationship between citizens and Portimão Municipality.
