ANAC, the national civil aviation authority, suspended the activity of the aviation school Lusofly Academy, located in Bragança. The decision comes following an inspection that identified deficiencies in pilot training.
The suspension is related to the lack of adequate pilot training by the school. The authorities identified that students were not receiving the necessary instruction to obtain the required licenses and qualifications.
In addition to the training problems, ANAC also received complaints of intimidation from the school's executive director. These reports are said to have contributed to the decision to suspend the activity of Lusofly Academy.
The school will thus no longer be able to operate until the detected irregularities are corrected and the necessary conditions for pilot training are reestablished.
