The Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários Flavienses has a new commander. Artur Nogueira was sworn in as the new Commander of the Fire Corps, replacing José Lima, who moves to the honorary roster of the institution.
Artur Nogueira has been connected to the Voluntários Flavienses Firefighters since 2004, making over two decades of effective service. Throughout this period, he went through the different categories of the firefighter career, reaching the rank of Sub-Chief, in a path marked by merit, discipline, mission spirit, and competence.
Starting in 2015, Artur Nogueira assumed the role of Second Commander, a position he held until his swearing-in as commander. During this period, he was involved in operational planning, fire corps management, and strengthening cohesion among the members of the corporation.
Among the priorities of the new leadership are strengthening operational rigor, valuing volunteering, and modernizing equipment and procedures. Artur Nogueira also intends to deepen the connection between the corporation and the Flaviense community, maintaining as the main mission the protection and relief of the populations. The Associação Humanitária left a word of recognition and gratitude to former commander José Lima for his service and dedication throughout his tenure as commander.
