Liverpool officially announced the signing of Barcola, a French international, from PSG. The 22-year-old forward signed a contract with the English club in a deal that could reach 143.5 million euros.
The total transfer fee includes the initial base amount plus potential bonuses related to the player's performances and achievements throughout the contract.
Barcola thus becomes Liverpool's most expensive signing in history, surpassing the previous record held by Darwin Núñez, signed from Benfica in 2022 for around 75 million euros plus add-ons.
The young Frenchman arrives at Anfield after a standout season in French football, where he demonstrated offensive qualities that attracted the interest of the English club.
