End of August marks return to routine and traffic enforcement operations on the roads

The end of August marks the return to routine on Portuguese roads. On the last day of August, traffic in large cities was already returning to normal rhythm, signaling the end of the summer holiday period.

With the arrival of September, new circulation rules come into effect. The prohibition of heavy vehicles on the Inner Beltway (VCI) is implemented, applicable only on weekdays, between 7am and 9pm.

This measure comes within the scope of traffic enforcement operations, which intensify their activity with the return of the population to daily routine. The restriction likely aims to improve traffic conditions and road safety in the VCI area during peak hours.

The survey, with 545 responses and 185 open comments, shows that many institutions have not yet identified the nurses covered, there are delays in execution, lack of response from Human Resources services and Boards of Directors, and persistent doubts about salary repositioning and payment of retroactive amounts. Many professionals do not know if they are entitled to salary correction, what their new salary level is, or when they will receive the outstanding amounts. ASPE demands that the Central Administration of the Health System issue clear guidelines to ensure equality in the application of the law and that each nurse receives individualized explanations about the calculations and amounts due.
