IR 2026: Federal Revenue pays last refund batch this Monday (31st); see who receives

The Federal Revenue makes this Monday (31st) the payment of the fourth and last refund batch of the 2026 Income Tax. The batch brings a total value of R$ 1.24 billion.

This payment ends the regular refund schedule planned for this year. The values are destined to taxpayers who filed their return within the established deadline.

The beneficiaries can check the status of their refund through the official channels of the Federal Revenue, such as the website and the application.

Ludgero Marques: Seguro remembers a prominent figure of business associations

President of the Republic António José Seguro expressed deep sorrow over the death of Ludgero Marques, at age 88, describing him as one of the most prominent figures in Portuguese business associations. Ludgero Marques led the Portuense Industrial Association between 1985 and 2008, a period during which the institution transformed into the Business Association of Portugal. A native of Santa Maria da Feira, he graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Porto and headed several companies, including the taps and ceramics manufacturer Cifial. He received several honorary distinctions, including the rank of Grand-Officer of the Order of Prince Henry. The funeral will be held at the Matrix Church of Rio Meão, followed by the crematorium in Aveiro.
