Elon Musk's fortune, estimated at $873.1 billion by Forbes, is greater than the Gross Domestic Product of 11 of the 12 South American countries. The businessman's wealth individually surpasses the economies of Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Uruguay, Bolivia, Paraguay, Guyana, and Suriname. With the dollar at R$5.17, the fortune corresponds to approximately R$4.5 trillion.

Only Brazil has a GDP superior to the value attributed to Musk. The Brazilian economy is estimated at $2.28 trillion, while Argentina appears as the second largest among the other countries presented, with $681 billion. The GDP data used in the comparison is from the International Monetary Fund, referring to 2025.
