Final decision of the Summit: African states commit to strengthening the Peace Fund and mobilizing innovative financing mechanisms

African Heads of State and Government decided, at the Extraordinary Summit of the African Union held in Luanda on the 30th, to strengthen the African Union's Peace Fund and mobilize innovative financing mechanisms. This decision represents a joint commitment of African countries to reinforce peace-keeping capabilities on the continent.

The announcement of the decision was made by the rotating Chair of the African Union, Évariste Ndayishimiye, who currently leads the continental organization. He was responsible for informing the media about the deliberations made during the summit.

The extraordinary meeting brought together in Luanda, Angola's capital, the main African leaders to discuss issues related to peace and security on the continent, as well as financing mechanisms for these initiatives. Angola was the host country of this event of great importance for African diplomacy.
