The Order of Nurses alerted to the existence of more than 3,000 new nursing professionals who have not yet been hired, considering this situation a serious waste of human resources in the health sector.
The Order requested urgent intervention from the Minister of Health to unblock the hiring process for these professionals, who are qualified to practice but remain without placement in the public health system.
The professional organization expressed concern about the impact of this situation both for the nurses who remain unemployed and for the health system that continues to have a shortage of professionals.
The alert was published by Barlavento, which reported the formal request from the Order of Nurses for the Ministry of Health to quickly resolve this situation of impasse in hiring.
