The degradation of the traditional Portuguese cobblestones on Avenida Antero de Quental, in the parish of São Victor, in Braga, is causing concern among pedestrians who walk near the public garden. The sidewalk has increasingly more holes, loose stones and damaged areas, creating obstacles for those who use the space daily, a citizen reported.
Residents and users of this road warn about the risks that the deterioration of the pavement represents, especially for elderly people, children and people with reduced mobility. The situation has been getting worse over time without any repair work having been carried out.
Avenida Antero de Quental is an important artery in Braga, frequented daily by numerous citizens who cross the area near the public garden. The lack of maintenance of the traditional cobblestones contrasts with the importance of this area for the local community.
