Teias Arte Local is a project that brings together independent artists and artisans from the Algarve region, having started its activity in the heart of Lagos in 2024. The creative program developed by this association includes various forms of artistic and craft expression.

Among the disciplines integrated in Teias' program, the following stand out: empreita, ceramics, and stop motion. These three areas represent different traditions and techniques, from manual work with traditional materials like empreita, through ceramics with its connection to decorative arts, to stop motion animation as a contemporary audiovisual language.

The project positions itself as a space for gathering and promotion of independent creative work in the Algarve, functioning as a platform for local artisans and artists. The content was originally published on the Barlavento portal.
