The Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Peneda begins this Monday and will run until September 8th. The event takes place in Peneda, parish of Gavieira, in the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez.

The pilgrimage program combines religious celebrations with cultural moments. Monday's activities include a eucharist, the Vespers prayer and a procession with the Rosary.

Throughout the days of the pilgrimage, several initiatives are planned that promise to attract pilgrims and visitors to the region. The celebration has Our Lady of Peneda as its central figure.
