Valdevez Space and the Baroque Interpretive Center present on September 26, at 3 PM, a staged visit to the Holy Spirit Church. The activity is free and open to the general public.
During this visit, Félix Alves Pereira, a character inspired by the renowned Arcuense archaeologist, guides the public on a journey through the history of the Holy Spirit Church and the Baroque world, exploring elements such as gold, carving, painting, sculpture, and music.
The special participation of Robert Chester Smith, an American art historian who thoroughly studied Portuguese Baroque and investigated the ancient documents of the Holy Spirit Brotherhood, gives the discovery an unexpected dimension, mixing history and fiction, rigor and humor.
With production by the Incriativo Movement and costumes and props by Andreia Mourão, the cast is composed of André Araújo, António Rocha, Céu Bivar, and Ricardo Dias, making the documents come alive, giving the characters life, and transforming the church into a theater.
