The Blues fills Azeitão Bacalhôa Parque festival held its fifth edition in an outdoor space with free admission and street food gastronomy, with artistic curation by BB Blues Portugal Association. Over two afternoons and two evenings, the event presented two blues DJ sets and a total of six concerts, bringing together musicians from Portugal, Austria, Spain and the United States of America in a summer setting.

The 2026 program was diverse, crossing different languages and traditions of blues, from roots blues to Chicago blues, through swing, jazz, rockabilly and sounds from New Orleans and Austin. The festival aims to enhance the Azeitão territory and promote the meeting between audience and artists from different areas of blues.

On the 29th, Portuguese band The Smokestackers performed, winners of the Portugal Blues Challenge 2022, the Jörg Danielsen Trio, from Austrian guitarist Jörg Danielsen with a strong connection to Chicago blues, and American harmonica player Greg Izor. On June 30th, the stage featured Sugartown Duo with an acoustic journey through blues and jazz, Kerry Pastine & The Crime Scene, a formation based between the United States and Portugal with jump blues and rockabilly sounds, and Marcos Coll feat. Deborah Woodson, a concert that brought together the harmonica of Spanish musician Marcos Coll with the voice of American gospel singer Deborah Woodson.

The event was organized by the Setúbal City Council, the Azeitão Parish Council and the BB Blues Portugal Association, in partnership with Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal and Caetano Volkswagen, and with the support of the São Sebastião Parish Council.
