A man of Brazilian nationality, around 50 years old and resident in Águeda, was detained this Sunday on suspicion of sexual crimes against his stepdaughter, a girl of only 10 years old.
The case is now under investigation by the Judicial Police, which took over the case after the suspect's detention.
The newspaper Notícias de Águeda reported this information, noting that the victim is a young child, the daughter of the defendant's partner.
The authorities continue to investigate the facts to clarify the circumstances in which the alleged crimes are said to have occurred.
