The teams of Mineiro Aljustrelense and FC Serpa qualified for the second round of the Portuguese Cup, being the only formations from Baixo Alentejo still in the competition. Mineiro Aljustrelense won on Sunday, the 30th, in the Algarve, against FC Ferreiras by three goals to zero, while the Serpa team had defeated the previous day, at home, Grandolense 2-0.
Out of the competition were FC Castrense, who lost at home to the Algarve side Louletano 0-1, and Messejanense, thrashed by Portel 0-8 in a match played in Aljustrel.
In the second round of the Portuguese Cup, scheduled for September 20th, Mineiro Aljustrelense will play in Minho, against Limianos from Ponte de Lima, while FC Serpa hosts Louletano at home.
