Gabriel Bottos is a production engineer and former researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany. After a family event, he decided to change the direction of his career and, together with three other partners, founded the company Vesper with the goal of transforming cutting-edge science produced at universities into worldwide-scale businesses.

The factor that motivated Bottos to change his professional trajectory was the experience lived by his niece, Helena, who was only 4 years old. The girl survived an aggressive metastatic cancer thanks to an experimental study conducted in Madrid, Spain.

According to the founder of Vesper, biotechnology holds the keys to the great global challenges. The company seeks to apply this principle by transforming advanced academic research into internationally scaled ventures.

Why do real estate fund shares fall?

In the CBN Dinheiro program, financial specialist Marcelo d'Agosto explained the two factors that determine the decline in real estate fund share prices. The first, of a general nature, is linked to long-term interest rates, especially the remuneration of IPCA Treasury bonds: when these interest rates rise, the value of real estate fund shares tends to fall, as the monthly distributions paid by the funds become relatively less attractive compared to the higher returns available in Treasury bonds, causing the share price to adjust downward. The second factor is specific to each fund and depends on their individual characteristics.
